Without a preconceived idea or a specific landscape in mind as inspiration, Cloudwalker III simply evolved from layers of collage and paint. 

Soon though I started to see mesas and hills in the foreground, glowing with the light of early evening sun. That, then, is the direction I pushed this painting: to emphasize that sense of light on the mesas, and a refreshing summer storm moving through....
