Unusual circumstances this year distracted me from carrying my paint box outside and painting en plein air. But finally, after some months, those distractions eased down — just in time for me to get outside and take in autumn in all her glory. Here is the first of seven little plein air paintings I did in the course of a week at the end of October-early November. This one is in the Albuquerque foothills.
