What's fun about this painting is that the edges we originally painted grey, and I placed it for sale on my Etsy shop that way:
I don't mind grey edges on some paintings. In fact many, if not most of my recent paintings have grey edges. The grey serves to frame the painting and give it a clean look.
But one day I was admiring a painting I own by friend and artist extraordinaire Darlene Olivia McElroy, and noticed how imaginatively she painted the edges. So I decided to go back into this one and expand the painting so that it wraps around the edges. Funny how that really makes the painting come alive.
