'Nothing like spending the better part of a quiet Sunday on a 148-acre historic property with the whole place practically to yourself. I was nearly pinching myself as I sat under the cottonwoods at Los Luceros, with nothing but the sound of the Rio Grande a few yards away and the music of Sandhill cranes and Canada Geese in the sky overhead.
