new mexico sky musing 16 ~ that golden rain light

Last summer I had the good fortune to spend two weeks in July house-sitting in the lovely community of El Rito, New Mexico. I was caring for the home and pets of a dear friend who is also an artist, and she let me — indeed, encouraged me — to use her studio while I was there. And so I did. I decided to continue my "New Mexico Sky Musings Series while there. I ended up completing nine in the series! This is the first of the new round of New Mexico Sky Musings. That Golden Rain Light conjures that rare magical, mystical summertime time of day when the sun is setting (or rising), yet rain is falling.
Incidentally seven of these nine new Sky Musings have just sold to a private collector. Many of the others, as of this writing, are on display at Auberge Resort's Bishop's Lodge here in Santa Fe and are available for purchase on my Etsy shop.
